Aside from visiting the archive nothing much happened except that I finally finished my Magach guide!
Magach ID guide
It’s been a bumpy ride but I liked it, the guide will probably be the last huge guide I will make, but there will come a Merkava ID guide, and maybe if I figure a few things out a Sho’t ID guide aswell, we’ll see…

Hi,
Nice guide. I’ll never remember all that detail, but it’s good to know where to find it!!
Well done, loads of detail, lots of photos.
Best regards,
Frank.

Just a minor note, muzzle brake, not muzzle break. It’s not broken, it is a brake to reduce the recoil velocity of the gun.
Though on the M48, they’re blast deflectors, as they don’t direct the gases backwards, only sideways. Come to think of it, I should probably take a closer look at WWII guns to see which had which. Because of the shape of these it’s obvious in the case of the M48, but later German tanks and Sherman Firefly and others might actually have blast deflectors, though they’re usually noted as muzzle brakes (including by me).
Cheers,
Frank
