Hello and merry Christmas to the Christian readers of the site 🙂
I know I haven’t uploaded anything to the website for a while, I want to be completely clear, I am not done with the website, it’s just that a bunch of stuff came up in real life, and this website is really a second priority for me, a hobby, and with school burying me in exams, family stuff going on and friends being affected by the war I didn’t really find time for anything since I published the H39 article… Which even though I am very proud of, I published it with a feeling of not adding enough, around 80% of the info in the article is just stuff which I translated from Hebrew sources, with the only real discoveries I added in was the photos of Unit 193, the charts and the survivor section with a few details here and there.

While I haven’t found any time to delve too deep into any new topic or write about anything, I did continue my research into one specific detail which didn’t make it into the H39 article, the radios, if you know anything about standard H39s you might know that generally they don’t have radios, but in most Israeli H39s, a radio antenna can be seen, after a long while of reading a few books, I found that the Wireless Set No. 19 was very widly used in Israeli armour, and after someone on Discord sent me a photo of what an antenna base for one looks like, I am almost certain that the Israeli H39s were equipped with the Wireless Set No. 19, with the exception of ‘600’, which was the company leader tank which enjoyed a different radio, I believe SCR-300. I will update the H39 article with more photos and the radio info (with slightly more detail) in the near future
and if anyone has any idea for what I should write about next the comments are open, I am currently leaning into either 1948 Half-Tracks or armoured cars of the time.
