Hello again! I have both good and bad news. The good news is that the H39 article is coming along well. With only starting to write about Operation Danny and not even starting work on the Battle of Iraq Al-Manshiya section, I’ve surpassed 2,800 words. I intend to start test-reading it with volunteers very soon and publish it in a week or two. As for the bad news, I realized that delaying the article until I can get more answers regarding the surviving tank would just take way too long, and I’ve decided to cut the section altogether. The article as of now looks like this essentially:
From France to Israel, explains the deal, the delivery of the tanks, and the IDF’s headaches even before they entered service
Operation Danny, explains the H39’s combat effectiveness and IDF’s thoughts after they used the tanks in combat
The Battle of Iraq Al-Manshiya, explains the battle and its effects on the H39 service
SA38 Armed Armoured Cars, explains the usage of the H39’s cannons on armored cars after the H39s left service
The Explosive Oddity, I can’t elaborate too much without spoiling the article but it is a very interesting modification
Deception Tanks covers the story of the fake Israeli tanks used in the 1948 war and early 50s with one rare image from my collection which I recently bought
Markings, explains the markings used on the tanks, very useful for the model builders who may read the article
Myths cover the common myths surrounding these tanks
